Meet the Quilter
I am a lover of all things sewing — though I didn't discover my passion for it until I was a young wife and mother, about 26 years ago. I started simple: curtains, costumes, and the occasional mending project. But it wasn't until my kids were grown and getting ready to leave the nest that a whole new world opened up for me.
That world was quilting.
My mother-in-law, LuAnn, was the one who first taught and inspired me to pick up the craft. And the moment I stepped into my first quilt shop — surrounded by all that glorious fabric — I knew my life had changed forever. I had found my passion. My calling. My very expensive new hobby. 😄
I fell especially in love with longarm quilting and became obsessed with the idea of finishing quilts in beautiful, artistic ways. There is something truly magical about watching a quilt transform — knowing the time, money, and heart that went into every stitch, and understanding that what you're holding could one day become a cherished family heirloom passed from generation to generation.
My skills grew tremendously when I began working at Quilting Mayhem, where the talented and generous staff welcomed me in and freely shared their creativity and expertise. It was there that my dream truly took shape — the dream of one day owning my own longarm machine and serving my community as a professional quilt finisher.
After three years of hands-on experience with a Handi Quilter longarm — mastering pantographs and free motion quilting — I took the leap and purchased my own Handi Quilter 24" Amara with ProStitcher on a 12-foot frame, stepping into the exciting world of computerized digital quilting. I specialize in Edge to Edge quilting and have grown confident in custom borders and block quilting as well.
It is my greatest honor to take your quilt into my hands and give it the finishing touch it deserves — highlighting your hard work with a design that enhances, polishes, and celebrates the treasure you've created.
